School Newsletter – Friday 17th March 2017

Dear Parents

The children enjoyed the Poetry Day on Wednesday with professional poet Ian Bland and wrote and performed their own poems during the day.

Comic Relief is next Friday, 24th March. We will be selling Red Noses in school from Monday for £1 each. Next Friday we are asking the children to wear red and bring £1 for Comic Relief.

IMPORTANT Information

The work on the walls on Todmorden Road is extending to include the school wall from Monday.

This means from Monday there will be NO access to school from Todmorden Road.

Mrs Robinson, the school crossing lady, will be moving down the road nearer to Barnes Meadows junction to help children cross Todmorden Road safely at an appropriate place.

Everyone will have to come into school using the Barnes Meadow entrance. We are aware that this will increase pressure on parking and traffic around this side of school but please remember that traffic wardens do patrol the area so do NOT park on the yellow zig zags. We will keep you updated on the works but have been working closely with highways to ensure minimal disruption to school while still keeping the children safe.

The PFA are still collecting Easter Eggs to be given as prizes at our Easter Bingo evening on Wednesday 29th March. Any donations can be sent into the office.

Thank you

Mr. R. Walthall
