Parental Letter – 11th May 2020

Dear Parents / Carers

Another few weekshave passed under lockdown and we continue to reach out with phone calls to all our families and offer any support we can.

Last night, our Prime Minister announced that there may be a phased re-opening of schools from the 1stof June. We know no more than you as to what that will look like or how it will be managed at this stage. Please try not to worry: we are working with our Local Authority to start to plan any return to school in a safe and controlled way but until we know exactly what the government expects us to do. School is only open to children of key workers and vulnerable children. As and when we have further news and a clear plan, we will share this with you. In the meantime, please keep your children safe and at home.

Thank you to the parents who completed our online form. It was lovely to hear from so many of you and to hear how the staff phone calls are helpful. I know the staff is enjoying catching up with the pupils. Please keep an eye out on the post over the next few weeks as certificates for Timetable Rockstar Battles, Accelerated Reader and letters from class teachers are being sent out. This month’s story Time Magazine should also be arriving soon if it has not already done so. To ensure you get your certificates, please keep reading and doing quizzes at home. This week, we have set up a TT Rockstar battle between Years5 and 6 and Years3 and 4 to finish on Friday.

I would like to remind families that, if your circumstances change and you feel you may now be eligible, you should apply for Free School Meals using the application form on the Local Authority website or by using the link on the ‘Coronavirus’ page of the school website.

If you are struggling with anything else and want any support or advice that you feel we as a school may be able to help with then please email ourearlyhelp@stansfieldhall.rochdale.sch.uk.All these emails are managed by myself and our staff.

Take Care, Stay Safe
