Springhill Hospice 2020 Calendar Free Photo Competition

Each year Springhill Hospice produces a calendar as part of its fundraising and awareness events.  The calendar is illustrated with twelve “postcard” sized photographs of Rochdale Borough and Whitworth depicting scenes covering all four seasons. The 12 photographs are selected by means of a free open competition. The photograph considered to be the overall winner becomes the calendar’s front cover.

We are keen to “open up” the competition to younger residents. Entries can be easily submitted online.  We are contacting all the Borough’s primary schools to see if we can attract entries from a younger age group.

The competition for the 2020 calendar photographs is now open – the closing date is 31st March 2019.  Please see the attached information about the competition and how to enter.

School Newsletter – Friday 14th September 2018

Welcome Back!

It is lovely to see everyone back at school and settling well into the new school year, working hard and looking fantastic in their uniforms.

A special welcome to all the new families who have joined Stansfield Hall. We hope you enjoy our new look newsletter which has details of up and coming events and the school dinner menu on the back. Last week we sent home lots of information in the packs about school life and several forms to be completed.

If you have not yet done so please complete the forms and return to school on Monday.

Some contact forms have not been completed fully and so we will be returning these and asking parents to complete all information, including legal parental responsibility and contacts.

Please can we ask parents to help keep everyone safe before and after school by taking care where they park when dropping off and collecting children from school. We have had some complaints from other road users regarding cars parking too close to the crossing patrol on Todmodren Road. We ask that people park away from Mrs Robinson so that drivers have a clear line of sight when passing the school and are able see if people are waiting to cross.

Let’s Celebrate

This week all pupils have been having breakfast in school. This has been a fantastic success to the start of the day with children eating in a social group as well as enjoying the cereal.

We are very grateful to Littleborough Lions who supported this project by paying for the bowls and spoons.

This weekend a number of photo albums were added to our school Facebook page from last term’s events. Please like and follow our Facebook page www.facebook.com/stanshallsch
