School Newsletter – Friday 15th December 2017

Dear Parents,

It has been lovely to see so many parents in school this week attending the Nativity production for Willow, Sycamore and Maple class.  We look forward to seeing parents on Monday morning (lower school Nativity) and Tuesday afternoon and evening (for Elm and Birch class) performances.

We are still collecting donations for a Christmas Hamper to Raffle at the end of term.  Please send donations to the school office on Monday or Tuesday morning.

On Wednesday we gave out many prizes for the Accelerated Reading, the targets for next half term are harder and do require the children to read for at least 15 minutes every night to be in with a chance of receiving their reward.

We only received one Parent Governor nomination and would like to thank Mr Lane for his continued service to the board of Governors at Stansfield Hall.  Obviously this means we still have one vacancy and will be recruiting again after Christmas.

Christmas Dates

  • Tuesday 19th December – Christmas Carol Service 10 am (parents are welcome to join us at St. James Calderbrook
  • Wednesday 20th December – Party Day (non uniform) School closes at 3.20pm (No after School Club)
  • School reopens on Thursday 4th January.

On behalf of the Staff and Governors I would like to wish all our families a safe and peaceful Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone return in the new year.

Thank you

Mr. R. Walthall
