Thank you to the parents who joined us in Church for our Harvest Service today. The walk up to church in fantastic weather seemed to help the children with their singing during the service.
Can we remind parents of pupils in Year 6 that they MUST ensure they apply for a place for high school by the 31st October. If you need any help please ask at the school office. Late applications could result in your child being offered a place in a school on the other side of Rochdale as demand for places is high.
We still have some places available for the Junior Dragons, Tuesday morning Karate session. A separate letter has been sent home for this, please return the letter and payment on Monday.
Tonight we have sent home a letter about free school meals and school funding, please take time to read the letters and complete them if applicable as these have a huge effect on our school budget and the provision we can offer at Stansfield Hall.
Everyone has settled in well to the new school year. We welcomed a number of new children across school and in reception as well as Mrs Gumbley who has joined the staff team in Reception. Congratulations to Miss Black who got married over the holidays and is now Mrs Whittaker.
The roofing work on the school continues and we are working closely with the contractors and Rochdale Council School Safety Team to ensure the children and staff are kept safe during the works.
On Friday 22nd September we are having our Harvest Service at Church, we are not asking for any donations of food for this service as we will have a Harvest collection in school at the end of the half term. Parents are welcome to join us at St James Calderbrook at 10am for the service.
Maple Class are currently taking part in an outdoor programme called British Tribe, please ensure that your children have their full change of clothes in school every Tuesday.
On Friday 22nd we will be holding the PFA (Parents Friends Association) Annual General Meeting at 3.30pm in school. All are welcome to attend.
Thank you to all parents who have returned contact and permission forms, if you have not already done so please send them back on Monday.
