School Newsletter – Friday 28th April 2017

Dear Parents

It was lovely to see everyone dressed up as Explorers on Monday with some fantastic outfits and interpretations of the main areas of our world that could be explored, well done and thank you everyone.

Willow class enjoyed their Maths Puzzle afternoon today, thank you to the parents who joined them.

Reminder school is closed on Monday 1st May for the Bank Holiday.

Anyone wishing to buy a class photograph should send the money in on Tuesday 2nd May.

Year 4 and 5 continue their weekly swimming sessions every Tuesday this half term.

Thursday 4th May – The whole school will be walking to Hollingworth Lake on Voting Day while our dining room is used for the local community to vote.  The children will be having a packed lunch not a hot meal on this day.

Year 6 SATS Week starts 8th May so the children must be in school on time everyday without exception.  Please make sure your child has had breakfast and are well rested (an early night, with a good night’s sleep and up early to get to school on time rather than rushing).

Year 2 SATS take place throughout May please can parents follow the above advice for the children in Year 6 to ensure that the they do the very best.

The SATS are national tests that provide an opportunity for children to prove what they know and have learnt.  All that we ask is that they try their very best.

Thank you
