A huge congratulations to all the children for their performances in the school Christmas plays this week. It was lovely to see the hall so full of proud parents, families and friends enjoying the hard work that the children and staff had put in preparation. Thank you to all involved including the PFA for arranging the refreshments and the raffle and a special thank you to Mr. Walthall (Senior) and Mrs Walthall for the costumes for Elm and Birch Class.
Details of the winning raffle prizes / tickets are on the back of the newsletter.
Friday is our Party Day, children may wear Party clothes / Christmas Jumpers etc BUT please remember that the children still go outside at playtime and lunch time and need suitable footwear / clothes for playing out in the cold.
We are advertising for two new lunch time organisers on the new www.greater.jobs web site. Please spread the word to anyone you think may be interested.
School closes tomorrow, Friday 16th December at 3.20pm (NO afterschool club).
School reopens on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 as normal.
We hope everyone has a safe holiday and remind parents that if children receive new electronic gifts that allow them access to the internet parents review their security settings and discuss keeping safe on line so that children do not share their name, address and images of themselves with others online. www.saferinternet.org.uk is a useful website for advice for parents.
On behalf of the governors and staff I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mr. R. Walthall
