Dear Parents

The children (and staff) looked fantastic in their book character costumes on Monday.  Thank you to everyone who made such a fantastic effort to help bring this term’s project of “Let’s Read” alive.

The children enjoyed today’s whole school trip to Hebden Bridge Cinema as part of the Into Film Festival.

On Tuesday, 29th November, Maple and Sycamore Class will be going to Littleborough Library.  They need to make sure they have full school uniform including sensible shoes for walking and a warm, waterproof coat.

School Newsletter – Friday 18th November 2016

Dear Parents

It was lovely to see so many parents in school last night for Parents’ Evening. If you were unable to make your appointment to see your child’s class teacher please try to arrange to see them straight after school one night.

Anti Bullying Week this week was led by the children from the School Council and the School Prefects with assemblies on what bullying is, the effects and how to stop it.

The children in Years 1 to 6 enjoyed the trip to see George’s Marvellous Medicine on Tuesday despite the slightly late return due to very heavy traffic.  Thank you for your patience in helping us dismiss the children safely from the school playground.

Today’s fundraising for Children In Need was organised by the School Council, your support was appreciated and we are still counting the money raised.

On Monday, 21st November we are asking all staff and pupils to dress up as a book character as part of our “Let’s Read” project.

On Friday, 25th November the whole school will be going to Hebden Bridge Cinema as part of the Into Film Festival, please make sure your child is in school on time as the coaches will be leaving at 8.50am and back for lunchtime.

The PFA are asking for donations for a Christmas hamper to raffle off at the Christmas productions.  Please send items to the school office.

Thank you
